Obituary of Leslie Lee Taylor

Leslie Lee Taylor, age 71, formerly of Avery, passed away, Sunday, May 20, 2018, at his son’s home in Gun Barrel City, Texas.   Leslie loved fishing and enjoyed the outdoors.  He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.  Leslie was born, January 26, 1947, in Avery to C.P. and Margaret Horton Taylor.  His parents; sisters, Sue Taylor, Pat Stires, Bettie Flowers and Evelyn Smith; along with his brothers, Wesley and Jack Taylor preceded him in death.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 23, 2018, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Short officiating.  Burial will follow in Lydia Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends and hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Survivors include 1 son, Gary Taylor and wife, Elizabeth of Canton; 3 daughters, Tammy Taylor, Paula Taylor and Cheryl Presley of Dallas; 1 Sister, Pauline Byrum of Grand Prairie; grandchildren, Tonya, Nicholas, Bobby, Melissa, Nickie, Lesley, Courtney, Landon, Chelsey and Austin; and 14 great grandchildren.
