Obituary of Carlas Joe Barton

Carlas Joe Barton, age 61 of Allen, passed away, Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at U.T. Southwestern Medical Center.   Carlas was born, December 3, 1956, in McAlester, Oklahoma to Albert and Mildred Smith Barton.  He was an Engineer with Verizon.  Carlas’s pastime was fishing.  He always said, a bad day fishing is better than a great day at work.  His parents, grandparents; 2 brothers, Jack Barton and Johnny Barton preceded him in death.  He married Janice Hackler on July 31, 1976.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Barton of Allen; 2 sons, Jeff Barton of Dallas and Billy Barton and wife, Natasha of Princeton; 2 brothers, James Barton and wife, Nancy of Clarksville and Jerry Barton of Gilmer; 1 granddaughter, Maddison Elmore; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Funeral services are set for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Deanie Lambert officiating.  Burial will follow in English Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. 

The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home.
