Obituary of Mary Helen Castaneda

Mary Helen Hughes Castaneda, age 77, of Bagwell, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018, at Focused Care of Clarksville.  Mrs. Castaneda was born, March 17, 1941, in Talihina, Oklahoma to Johnnie Lee and Bonnie Mae Durant Hughes.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Castaneda; her grandson, Blake Trammell; and her sister, Jo Ann Dickerson.  Mrs. Castaneda was a member of the Choctaw Tribe in Oklahoma.

Graveside services are set for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Manchester Cemetery with Steve Marx officiating.  Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Boyd Harmening, Donnie Nichols, Shane Phifer, David Nichols, Jonathan Nichols and Donnie Smith.

Visitation will be Wednesday night from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Survivors include 4 sons, Felix “Butch” Castaneda, Jr. and wife, Jenny, Steve Castaneda, Eddy Castaneda and wife, Kathy and Thomas Castaneda; 1 daughter, Colleen Trammell and husband, Jim; and 3 grandchildren, Ami Lyde, Ty Castaneda and John Thornsberry.
