Obituary of Janie Mae Sherrin

Janie Mae Sherrin, age 66, of Forney, passed away, Monday, August 20, 2018, at Medical City Hospital in Dallas.

Janie was born April 11, 1952, in Detroit to James Denton and Tommie Mae Smith Sherrin.  Janie was a kind and loving person and she loved her God and family.  Preceding her in death are her Father, James Denton Sherrin; and her son, Wesley Keith McCollum.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 23, 2018, one hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2018, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Blackmon officiating.  Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers are: Michael Smith, Randy Sherrin, Brian Sherrin, Earl Sherrin II, Joe Jones, Jody Smith and Steve Draper.

Survivors include her mother, Tommie Sherrin of Terrell; her Son, Tommy Ray McCollum of Quinlan; her sister, Paula Bates and husband, John of Terrell; 4 brothers, Earl Sherrin and wife Celia of Grand Prairie, Thomas Sherrin and wife, Lela of Rowlett, Ira Denton Sherrin and wife, Judy of Tecumseh, Oklahoma and Jimmy Sherrin and wife, Alice of Shawnee, Oklahoma; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
