Obituary of Lonnie Phelps

Lonnie Phelps, age 65, of Bentonville, Arkansas, formerly of Red River County, passed away, Thursday, November 8, 2018.   Lonnie was born January 12, 1953, in Red River County. He was employed by Benton County Road Department in Bentonville, Arkansas.  Lonnie was a car fanatic.  He loved tinkering with older cars.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Lee and Thelma Frunk Phelps; his wife, Karen Phelps; his daughter, Melissa Phelps; and three brothers, Lloyd, Leonard and Lawrence Phelps.

Graveside services are set for 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 12, 2018, at English Cemetery with Randy Ross officiating.  Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Survivors include one son, Jason Phelps of New York; two step daughters, Kristina Brewer and husband, Jason of Centerton, Arkansas and Kaleena Lee of Bentonville, Arkansas; two sisters, Dorthey Crawford of Mesquite and Vivian Yates and husband, Jerry of Terrell; two brothers, Lewis Joe Phelps of Canton and Leon Phelps and wife, Barbara of Mesquite; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
