Obituary of Shirley Badgett Nevill

Shirley Badgett Nevill, age 74, of Clarksville,  went to be with her loving husband, mother, father, brothers and sisters on Monday, December 24, 2018, at Focused Care of Clarksville.  Mrs. Nevill was born to Alec and Alice Jones Badgett on August 27, 1944, in the English Community.  She was married to the love of her life the late Charles Ray Nevill on August 12, 1972.  They lived together in Clarksville for thirty-three years until the time of his passing in 2005.  She is also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, David and Bud Badgett; sisters, Christine Quick and Alene Dixon.  Shirley is survived by her daughters, Dawn Glover and husband, Kenneth of Paris and Alicia Stansbury and husband, Jason of Clarksville; four grandchildren; Nicole Storey and husband, Daniel, Alex Spradlin, Austin Stansbury and Brie Stansbury; four great grandchildren; and her sister, Catherine Pearson and Nick of DeKalb.  Mrs. Nevill was a nurse and respiratory therapist for forty plus years and cared deeply for all the people she took care of throughout the years.  She had a big heart, a very kind person and would help anyone she could.  Shirley was a country girl that loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.  However the most important thing in her life was her family.  She loved her daughters and grandchildren very much and will be missed by all. 

Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 27, 2018, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Lucas Fields officiating.  Burial will follow in English Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends an hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home.
