Obituary of Marian Elizabeth Russell
Marian Elizabeth Russell, age 61, passed away in her sleep early Monday morning on December 31st, 2018. She was born in Texarkana, Arkansas on May 14th, 1957, to Maxey Kyle and Margaret Sue Sunkel Russell, Jr. Marian was a 1975 graduate of Clarksville High School, where she played flute in the band. She is reunited with her mother and best friend, Sue Russell in Heaven.
She is survived by her father, Maxey Kyle “Mickey” Russell of Paris; her children, Tony Boss and wife, Raquel of Paris, Lucy Boss of Clarksville; and her five grandchildren, Michael, Heidi, Alicia, Stephanie, and Edith.
Her favorite color was pink. She loved angels and stuffed animals. Marian was a kid at heart, and had a huge heart for others. Her empathy and innocence gave her the ability to get along with anybody she met. Marian wasn’t a big fan of soft music, but loved all of the classic hard rock bands, including The Doors, Pink Floyd, Yes, Def Leppard, and even Buddy Holly. For years, she loved to watch scary movies. She took pride in her family, and her face lit up every time she talked about her grandchildren. They gave her the nickname, Meemaw. Her warm smile, her laugh, and her gentle kindness will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 4, 2019, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Clarksville Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
There will be no formal visitation
