Obituary of Teddy Price
Teddy Malynda Price, age 80, of Clarksville, Texas, passed away, Monday, January 23, 2019, at Clarksville Nursing Center.
Teddy was born in Paris, Texas on June 4, 1938, the daughter of Rev. Ted and Sceleta Brown Hicks. She loved the Lord and was of the Baptist faith. Teddy was a baker for many years in San Diego, California. While living in New York, she bought and remolded old homes and was a volunteer at the local Fire Department. She also was on the EMT Squad. While living in California, she was a Lifeguard on the California Beaches and owned a successful dog grooming business, “Teddy’s Dog House”. Teddy was a believer in rehabilitation of Troubled Souls. She was a “Trivia Queen”, witty and intelligent, winning several cruises and Broadway Plays! Teddy loved to sing and had a beautiful Alto voice. She always had lots of fun with her sister at amusement parks and was known as the “Turtle Rescuer”. Teddy was a great listener to everyone. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sharon Burns; and her niece, Dorothy G. Brown.
Survivors include her sister, Rebekah Cross of Clarksville, Texas; two nephews, Bill Burns and Tim Burns and wife, Marie both of Pensacola, Florida; and an aunt, Ireline Crutchfield of Paris, Texas, and numerous cousins.
Mrs. Price’s wishes were for her body to be donated to The Applied Anatomical Research Center, College of Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2019, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Beck and Rev. Lucas Fields officiating.
