Obituary of Barbara McNabb

Barbara Elaine Jeans McNabb, age 75, of Detroit, passed away, peacefully from her earthly life the morning of January 25, 2019, with her loving husband, Jerry McNabb, at her side.  Barbara was born to Jeff and Donia Handley Jeans on March 22, 1943, in Fouke, Arkansas.  She had seven siblings.  Barbara graduated from Arkansas High in 1961.  She worked as a school secretary and later opened an in-home daycare where she nurtured many children and grandchildren.  All that knew Barbara knew her love of the Lord and her tender heart for children. 

 

Survivors include her husband, Jerry McNabb; her twin brother, Bobby Jeans of Oklahoma City; three children, Karen Pavlicek, Rhonda Evans and Paul Newman all of Houston; her adopted daughter, Tracy Austin of Bagwell; thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

 

Barbara was greeted in heaven by her parents, Donia and Jeff Jeans, siblings, Mary, Ella Maye, Hiram, Stanford, Reider and Boyce; and her grandson, Kent Cox.

 

A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019, at the Bagwell Baptist Church with Rev. Karl Bush officiating.  A reception at the church will follow the service for visitation.  Private inurnment will occur at a later date.
