Obituary of Wilburn Hughes

Wilburn “Pa” Hughes, age 80, of Blossom, Texas, died Thursday, May 21, 2009, in Paris Regional Medical Center in Paris. Mr. Hughes was born October 14, 1928 in Detroit, to Alvis and Zelda Weddle Hughes. He was a member of the Paris Cowboy Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Hughes, a sister, Sue Owens and a brother, Don Hughes. Survivors include his wife Laveta Enox Hughes of Blossom; daughters, Brenda Denny and husband Don of Amarillo, Karen Tillerson and husband Steve of Amarillo, Lynda Allen of Blossom and Sandra Adams and husband Kenneth of Paris; grandchildren, Steven Denny, Stephanie Jenkins, Chayanna Miller, Chasey Tucker, Cheylanne Thomas, Carey Allen, Josh and Josie Tillerson, Brad and Kyla Janssen; great grandchildren, Shelbi Miller, Caleb Miller, Carly Miller, Callie Tucker, Connor and Colby Tucker, Bailee Clark, Jacob Thomas, Catlyn Exum, Grant Denny, Ethan and Logan Jenkins; brother, Shannon Hughes and wife LaJean of Lubbock. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 24, 2009 at the Cowboy Church of Paris, with Duane Hamil and Stanley Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Gerald G. Enox, Rick Allen, Steve Nethery, Jessie Barrett, Brad Miller, Shane Tucker. Honorary Pallbearers are Caleb Miller, Connor and Colby Tucker, Grant Denny, Ethan and Logan Jenkins and Jacob Thomas. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Cowboy Church of Paris, P.O.
