Sister Karan, so many sweet prayers you said for us during so many difficult moments. Those prayers lifted us up and encouraged us. My prayer for you is sweet rest and love from Preston, your Daddy and Mother Wilma and the other loved ones you will see in Heaven. You were truly a bright light with so much kindness. Our loving thoughts and prayers to Harold, Cheryl, and their families.

Dear Cheryl and family, Words are inadequate to express our heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your sweet sister. I have so many fond memories of visiting your home when we were growing up and getting to know Karan. She was beautiful and always kind and welcoming to me. The love between sisters is very special. I know how much you loved each other and can only imagine what you are feeling now. I hope that memories help ease the sadness until you are reunited in heaven. Rodney and I love you and our prayers are with you always.

Harold, I'm so sorry for your loss. I haven't seen either of you for years; but I kept up through Sharon. I'll always remember living behind you and keeping Ben & Becky one time when they were little. Karan was always such a sweet person and she will be missed. May you find peace and comfort in your memories and in knowing she is celebrating her new life in a wonderful place.

Karan had a huge impact on my life. She was my teacher, I learn more true life skills from her than any other I ever had. She was my debate coach, she taught me how to form a coherent argument and present for effectiveness. She taught me how to type the minutes for debate team without errors in timed competition. She let me spend countless hours with her after class and in her home. We went to State, (won second under her direction)!! It was all her... She was my mentor, she loved the Lord and shared him openly, I have no doubt she is with the Lord now, absolute certainty. She and Harold hired me at State Farm, I worked alongside her for 15 years. She taught me how to be a professional. She was a pioneer, she let me bring my baby to work because I was nursing in a time that was unheard of, I have passed it on to my own employees. She helped me be the mother I became, she is the reason I finished college (without her encouragement it never would have happen.) She is responsible for my current career, she made me believe owning my own agency was possible. I owe her more than I could ever express on paper. She touched my life, and the life of so many others with her kindness, she exuded the fruits of the spirit just being in her presence. She had the most brilliant mind, one of the smartest people I was ever around. She had a way of making you want to be a better person, but never made you feel less, she was exhorting in all her interactions. I watched her care for her parents as they aged, she was a model of how to do it right. She will live on in all the people that loved her, and she is basking in her reward so richly deserved. I know her crown is full. I can hear her sweet voice singing in my heart. I loved her so much.
My prayers are with the Sheppard s I am so sorry for your loss.
