Obituary of Ester Varley

Ester Varley age 89 of Clarksville, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2009 in Regency Healthcare Center. Mrs. Varley was born in Annona, August 2, 1919 to Dee and Cordelia Soward Cheyne. She had her Masters in Education and retired after 44 years of teaching at CISD. She was a member of the Westside Church of Christ. She also loved sewing and her family. She was preceded in death by her husband James Varley and a sister Edith Wadley. Survivors include her daughter, Jamie Elisa Ragan and her husband Dr. Bob of Paris; sister, Elizabeth Hill of Clarksville; grandchildren, Lauren Ragan of Monroe, Louisiana and Aimee Ragan of Paris. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2009 in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Dale Stinson officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
