Obituary of Jewel Marie Henderson

Jewel Marie Henderson, age 91, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, of Clarksville, passed away March 15, 2011, at Regency Healthcare Center in Clarksville. Mrs. Henderson was born August 16, 1919, in the Cuthand Community of Red River County to Albert and Ottie Brown Eudy. She was a homemaker and longtime member of the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Henderson; a son, Charles Ray Henderson; two great granddaughters, Tyler Nicole Henderson and Brittney Lynn Smith; and three sisters. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2011, at the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Michael Henderson, Rev. James Brown and Rev. Ron Kellam officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are her grandsons, Shane Henderson, Tracy Henderson, Terry Smith, Clifford Chatman, Steven Harris, Mikael Earley and Robert Williams. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Henderson and wife Shirley of Clarksville and Danny Henderson and wife Barbara of Clarksville; two daughters, Margie Bates and husband Billy of Mt. Pleasant; and Margaret Joplin and husband Frank of Clarksville; two sisters, Delaine Briggs of Kilgore and Elaine Daffern of Saginaw; seven grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.
