Obituary of John Lewis Rodden
John Lewis Rodden, age 82, of Clarksville, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011, at ETMC Clarksville.
Mr. Rodden was born May 16, 1928 in Red River County to L.D. and Annie Maud Stevens Rodden. He was a member of Lanes Chapel Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his daughter; Sharrion Kay Smith, a brother; James L. “Pop” Rodden and one nephew; David Rodden.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Peek officiating. Burial will follow in Garland Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Saturday night from 6 to 8 at Clarksville Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife; Mary Loreda Green Rodden, two daughters; Sandra Leeds and husband Terry of Spring, Texas and Sherrie Myers and husband Sammy of Tennessee Colony, Texas, four grandchildren; Michelle Freeman, Nikki Wells, Shannon Myers and Chris Leeds, great grandchildren; Caleb Jordan, Courtney Freeman, MaKenzie Myers, Gauge Wells and Cain Wells, a brother; Roy David Rodden and wife Shirley of Azle, Texas, a son-in-law, Michael Smith and a special friend, Stan Helwig.
Pallbearers are John Keele, Jr., James D. Rodden, Kevin Rodden, Jessie Wells, Jr., Benjamin Holt and Don Miller.
Honorary pallbearers are Chris Leeds and Caleb Jordan.
