Toad, Chrissy and Family. Words can't express my deep sorrow for your lose. When I heard the news from Charlie Blakemore it was with a heavy heart. You all are in my prayers. Wade was an amazing young man, and I'll never forget how he was always so giving, full of laughter, and truly a wonderful person to meet. I will miss him around the camp. He gave me a hog for free one time, even helped me clean it in the barn. Never asked for anything...not many guys would do that. God has one amazing hunter in heaven now. My prayers continue for you and your family. Chuck Dalton

I met Wade only once, it was the month of November in 2001. I'm guessing he was about 10yrs old at the time. I was deer hunting on some land next to the clarksville airport and here comes this young man on a 4-wheeler that was 4 times his size and races up to where I'm sitting and says. "Hey, have you seen anything moving." and I said, "No, its been quite". Wade says, "there's plenty of deer here, I chase them all the time on my 4-wheeler." I was amazed how genuine this young mans personality was and I asked him. Who is your dad... he said "Toad Whitmer, and my names Wade". I said , "Ah yes, I know your dad, we went to school together years ago." The conversation was short, and I never saw him again, but I will never forgot the encounter, it will be a part of my memory forever.

Michael Todd, Chrissy, Ernest, Kay, Janie, Guy and other family members Words are just words at a time like this, nothing can heal the empty feeling or grief each of you have during this tragic loss. I didn't get the opportunity to know Wade as he grew up to be a young man, but my fondest memories of him come from Grannies house and the swimming pool. He was a bright light in everyones eyes that met him. I remember the words "drycow' coming from him. He thought it was so funny. At least we know that there is another angel in heaven to watch over him. May time heal each of your hearts and remember there are so many people who love each of you.

I only knew Wade for a short time and I wanted to express to you that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this most trying time. I taught Wade at PJC and he always had a smile and a story to share with me. Words are simply not enough at this moment but God, He is our strength when we have none. Always remember that as much as Wade was loved, Jesus loves him more. I will always remember his smile. I am glad I shared a moment in time with him.

Chrissy, Michael, Kay, Ernest, Kayla, Robert, Kristy, Doug and the rest of the Witmer Family. It was very tragic to hear of Wade's passing. I remember the first Christmas I came to in East Texas with Jennie. Wade and I talked for some time, probably about hogs - he made me feel at home. All of the other kids really looked up to Wade and I know his passing will weigh heavy on their hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Peace be with you.

Dear Michael Todd, Chrissy and family; There are no words I can say except that I am so very sorry. I am sure you know that Wade has always been loved by everyone he met-just a truly fun and lovable person. You are all in my prayers. I realize that my words cannot comfort you. I can only suggest II Corinthians 1:3-4 as this is where I always turn for comfort. Again, I am very sorry. Love, Susan

Michael Todd, Chrissy and Witmer families: My heart is so sadden, Wade was so young and nothing we say will help just know that we love you all and sending prayers for you. Wade was about 6 maybe 7 the last time Toad had him by our house and such a boy was so much like Toad was such a loving child. Earnest/Kay my heart goes out to you as grandparents can't imagine the hurt you have. Toad/Chrissy as a parent can't imagine, but I know some of the hurt when I lost my baby brother cause I raised him for first yr of his life. All I can say is stay focused on the Heavenly Father because He'll get you through this earthy problem and some day you'll be united with Wade once again. He's in God's heavenly garden now looking down gonna take care of his family. May GOD continue to hold you close and give you the comfort you all need. Love Carl/Marty Wilcox

My heart goes out to the whole Witmer family. I met this young man the first time and I thought I was back in high school again he looked just like Michael Todd. He was the most polite young man and I knew his family had to be so proud of him. There is nothing anyone can say to take away the pain, just know he was a good person and you knew that from the moment you met him. His good soul is joined with many in a place where happiness and love surrounds them all.
