Obituary of Charles Titus
C.J. Titus age 85 of Clarksville passed away, Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler.
Mr. Titus was born June 1, 1924 to Charley and Georgia Mace Titus on the Titus Family Farm in the Savannah Community of Red River County. The Titus family has owned the farm since 1838. He was a retired Rancher, member of the Lone Pine Church, served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a friendly person that loved his extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Amos, Morris, Ollie, Duward and Hoarce Titus and 1 sister, Clara Titus Manton.
Survivors include 3 sisters, Maggie Kerbow of Pasadena, Geraldine Warner of Houston and Charslie Morris of Avery; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the Lone Pine Church in Avery with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Savannah Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
