Obituary of Carl B. Wilcox

Carl B. Wilcox, age 67, of Linden, Texas formerly of Annona, passed away Sunday, December 04, 2011, at his residence. Carl was born in Clarksville on February 3, 1944, to Robert and Ella Pace Wilcox, Sr. He married Margaret Davis Wilcox on October 31, 1964, in Slaton, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, David Wilcox; his grandparents; a niece; a nephew; in-laws; several friends ; and a great grandchild. Carl was a member of the Texas Jaycees and past president of the Angleton Texas Chapter. He was a member of the Annona Fire Department and the Avery Masonic Lodge # 921. Carl loved cooking and was known around these parts for his BBQ. Survivors include his wife, Margaret “Marty” Wilcox of the home; his mother, Ella Wilcox of Austin; 3 daughters, Scottie Amos of Linden, Sheilia McIntire and husband Richard of Paris and Vickie Roseberry and husband Wesley of DeKalb; 2 sisters, Nancy Ruth Wilcox and Marsha Sisson; 7 brothers, Robert Jr., Bobby, Billy, Tommy, Larry, Richard and Jimmy Wilcox; 7 grandchildren, Brittney Davis and husband Zach, Brandi Amos, Megan McIntire, Hailey McIntire, Jasmine Smith, Alyson Roseberry and Karla Roseberry. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2011, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiatiing. Burial will follow in English Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Avery Masonic Lodge #921 and Clarksville Masonic Lodge #16, A.F.&A.M. will conduct Masonic graveside rites, following the service in the chapel. Pallbearers are Robert Wilcox, Jr., Richard McIntire, Wesley Roseberry, Jimmy Wilcox, Tommy Wilcox, Richard Wilcox, Larry Wilcox, Nancy Wilcox and Marsha Sisson. Honorary Pallbearers are Levi Turner, Paul Allen, Billy Sam Allen, Jeff Schrader and the Clarksville and Avery Masonic Lodge members.
