Obituary of Leo M. Maroney
Sgt. First Class, Leo M. “Toby” Maroney, (Ret.) age 79, of Boxelder, passed away, Monday, April 23, 2012, at ETMC Clarksville.
Leo was born November 11, 1932, in Boxelder, to Oliver Milton and Lillie Jackson Maroney. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam and Korean Wars and retired after 20 years of service. He married Nelda Sales on December 12, 1984.
Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2011, in the Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home, with Rev. James Brown and Rev. Ray McGregor officiating. Burial will follow with full Military Honors in Boxelder Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Hendrix, Bill Pederson, Preston Pierce, Herb Stanphill, John Oliver and Tom LaPlant.
Survivors include his wife Nelda; 2 sons, Rickey Leo Maroney of Annona and Curt and wife, Joli of Quinlan; 1 daughter, Lisa Jackson and husband, Stoney of Searcy, Arkansas; 1 step son, John Oliver and wife, Terry of Goldfield, Nevada; 1 step daughter, Coni LaPlant and husband, Tom of Lexington, Oklahoma; 1 sister, Mary Randolph of San Jacinto, California; 31 grandchildren; and 33 great grandchildren.
