Obituary of Jerry Ray Miller
Jerry Ray Miller, age 64, of Detroit, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012, at his residence, while surrounded by his loving family. He passed away from complications of Agent Orange.
Jerry was born February 1, 1948, in Red River County, Texas to Arthur (Jack) and Irene Smith Miller. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Jerry had a deep love for deer hunting. He was a member of the 8 pt. Buck Club and never missed a season until his health failed him. His happiest memories where spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by a sister; Linda Henderson; and 3 brothers, Kenny Miller, Jim Miller and Chock Miller.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Norma Miller; 1 son, Chay Miller of Detroit; 2 daughters, Misty Dotson and husband, Jason of Bagwell and Brandie Miller of Detroit; 2 sisters, Roberta Boyer of Pittsburg and Betty Presley of the English Community; 2 brothers, James Miller of Bagwell and Joe Miller of Bagwell; and his grandchildren, all of which brought him the most joy, Kenzie and Beau Cox and Shyann and Laney Dotson.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2012, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Don Shovan and Rev. Karl Bush officiating. Burial will follow in the Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Mark Miller, Danny Miller, Paul Miller, Doug Miller, Joe Wayne Miller and Brandon Bulter.
Honorary Pallbearers are Richard Watson, James Sprools, Mike Murphy and Harlan Brown.
The family will receive friends Saturday night from 5 to 7 at Clarksville Funeral Home.
