Obituary of Marlene Willard Walsh

Marlene Walsh, age 78, of Clarksville, died Thursday, May 17, 2012, at her residence. Mrs. Walsh was born July 11, 1933, in Burlington, Vermont, to Maxwell Vanburen and Blanche Kate Wimble Willard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Walsh; a son, Robert “Bobby” Walsh; and a sister, Corine Lunt. She loved volunteering her time at different organizations in Red River County and was a member of the Pine Grove Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary at ETMC Clarksville. Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Jack Holt officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Frank Faulkner, Ed Pryor, Rev. Sam Rice, Jack Holt and Rev. Ernie Harris. The family will receive friends an hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include 3 sons, Maxwell Walsh and wife Alice of Detroit, Dwain Walsh and wife Ella of Hubbardton, Vermont and Scott Walsh of Arlington, Vermont; 2 sisters, Michelle Ennis of Fair Haven, Vermont and Linda Naaktgeboren and husband, Andrew of Arlington, Vermont; 1 sister, Ruth Redhead and husband, Bob of Minnesota; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren; and a special friend, Roberta Villalobos.
