Obituary of Violet Turner

Violet “Dutch” Turner, age 92, of Blossom, passed away, Sunday, July 8, 2012, at Legend Healthcare Center in Paris. Mrs. Turner was born January 22, 1920, in the Addielou Community to Lewis and Linnie Garrett Harvey. She retired from the Detroit Independent School District where she worked in the Cafeteria and was a member of the Leesville Baptist Church. Her greatest joy was being around her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lesley Turner; her daughter, Dimple Thomas; and a son, John Harvey Turner. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 11, 2012, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Blackmon officiating. Burial will follow in Leesville Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Jeff Roach, Johnny Turner, Keith Roach, Jake Roach, Ryan Roach, Lesley Wilson, James Ray Wilson and Dewayne Wilson. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Daniels and husband, Mike of Spring; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
