Obituary of Marie Ryther

Marie Ryther, age 95, of Avery, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012, at Regency Nursing Center. Mrs. Ryther was born November 7, 1916, in Red River County, Texas to Val and Myrtil Smith Ryther. She was a member of the Avery United Methodist Church. Funeral services are set for 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 12, 2012, at the Avery United Methodist Church with Rev. Jack Cloyd officiating. Burial will follow in Avery Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include her best friends; Mike and Elaine Kelsoe of Avery. Pallbearers are Anthony Tucker, Duel Grigg, Jearl McPeak, Melvin Runyan, Justin Kelsoe and Tilman Deaton. Honorary Pallbearer is Henry Freeman.
