Obituary of Otis Pete Wright
Otis Pete Wright, age 90, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at Paris Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Wright was born July 17, 1922, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, to Leslie Owen and Cora Campbell Wright. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II and retired from the Red River General Hospital as Director of Maintenance. Pete was an avid duck hunter and loved his dogs and hunting companions. He enjoyed spending time with with the “guys” at the camp cooking and telling stories. He married Margaret Watson and she preceded him in death.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret Wright; his sisters, Ann Weaver, Irene Fuller and Lillian Wilsford; and his brothers, Happy, Shorty and Dick Wright.
Graveside services are set for 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 12, 2012, at Madras Cemetery with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Honorary Pallbearers are Billy Sam Allen, James “Buddy’ Vaughan, Dub Risinger, Brandon Phillips, Nathan Phillips, Edward Durant, Gaines McCulloch, Boyce Tull and James Luft.
Survivors include his dear friend and caregivers, Pat Phillips and family; and 3 sisters, Grace Holster of Mesquite, Ruth Hurt and husband Jimmy of Clarksville and Alice Sturch and husband Paul of Mt. Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews.
