Obituary of Bobbye N. King
A celebration of life for Bobbye D. King of Clarksville will be held Monday, November 26, 2012, at 11:30 a.m., in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Tracy Williams and Rev. Mike Fletcher will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4 to 6 at Clarksvile Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Cab Wolf, Roy Lynn Parker, Paul Allen, Tommy Trissell and Forrest Roraback.
Honorary Pallbearers are Mickey Porterfield, Don Westbrook, Junior Parker, Johnny Jamison and Billy Sam Allen.
Mrs. King was born January 22, 1929, in Clarksville to Elmer and Effie Meredith Dale. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl on November 2, 2000; a son, Neil King on March 1, 2009 and 4 brothers and 2 sisters. She worked for the Clarksville Independent School District Tax Office for more than 30 years and later retired from the Red River County Appraisal District. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Bobbye loved reading and as everyone would say; a “people person”.
Survivors include her daughter, Libba Agnew and husband, Brian of Clarksville; her grandson, which was the light of her life, Bryn Agnew of Denton; a sister, Billie Peters of Cleveland, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Red River County Library at 315 N. Walnut, Clarksville, Texas 75426, or the Resident Council at Clarksville Nursing Center at 300 E. Baker, Clarksville, Texas 75426.
