Obituary of Dale Wayne Halyard

Dale Halyard, age 78, formerly of Red River County, passed away, Wednesday, December 5, 2012, in Ft. Worth. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delmar and Elaine David Halyard; and his wife, Sadie Chumley Halyard. Dale was well known in the field of southern gospel music and was loved by many for his smooth vocal performance and exuberant master of ceremonies ability. He was also a District Governor for the Lions Club. He will be missed by all. Survivors include his daughter Lorrie Lemme and husband Randy of Haslet; 2 granddaughters, Courtney and Haley Lemme; 2 sisters, Pam Taylor and husband Tim of Forney and Darlene Woods and husband Robert of Haslet; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 10, 2012, at The Oasis Church in Saginaw with Rev. Randy Lemme officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3:30 p.m., at Bluff Cemetery in Detroit all under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Bobby Woods, Tony Woods, Reid Taylor, Brent Horton, Chad Whitton, Adam Whitton and Blake Knox. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5 to 7, at The Oasis Church in Saginaw. 420 W. Green St. Saginaw, Texas 76179. Memorials may be made to the Church.
