Obituary of Thomas Gary Costilow

Thomas "Gary" Costilow, 71, of Mineral Wells, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, at Baylor Hospital in Fort Worth. Inurnment will take place at a later date at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Thomas was born Oct. 22, 1941, in Wichita Falls to Thomas Peyton and Alma Maude Young Costilow. He served in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division. He was a retired professional musician and he excelled at playing the steel guitar. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Valerie Costilow; a grandson, Shelton Evans, a sister and both of his parents. Survivors include three daughters, Shelly Evans and husband, Shane, of Bogata, Fritzi Mulkey and husband, Jon, of Round Rock, Shea Ludwig and husband, Jason, of Tulsa, Okla., stepdaughter, Renee Manning of Franklin; two additional distant daughters; and his grandchildren, Peyton, Lacey, Mason, Brayden, Emily, Hadley, Makena, Jack, and step grandchildren Sierra and Jayme.
