Obituary of Eva June Nailling

Eva June Nailling, age 77, of Bagwell, passed away January 8, 2013, at Stillhouse Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Paris. She was born December 31, 1935, in Dallas to Vertis M.”Doc” and Thursa Parker Hodkinson. She married Louis Nailling on August 15, 1953. Eva worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Dallas before moving to Manchester where she continued her career until closing. She then worked at Baker and Taylor until closing. She then cared for people in various cities in Texas before retiring and becoming more active in her church. She was always caring for other people, but her love for God and family came first. Eva was a member and very active at Leesville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 brothers. Survivors include her husband Louis Nailling of Manchester; her sons, Louis Bradley Nailling of Manchester and Paul Nailling of Manchester; her daughter, Darla Fleming and husband Leon of Paris; her sister, Linda Pennington of Tocoma Washington; her brother, James Hodkinson of Dallas; her grandchildren, Lisa Chapman and husband Chris, Jill Erwin and husband Jake, Jamie LaCombe and husband Joey; her great grandchildren, Claire Erwin, Maddux LaCombe, Lauren Richardson and Chase Chapman; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 11, 2013, at Leesville Baptist Church with Rev. Buddy Owens and Rev. Jimmy Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Manchester Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Roger Edwards, Robert Hall, Ronnie “Shorty” Barnett, Bobby Ray, Kevin Wagner andTony Whittle. Honorary Pallbearers are Jim Gatlin and the members of Eva's Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6 to 8 at Clarksville Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Manchester Cemetery Association at 8781 FM 195, Bagwell, Texas 75412. “For she is more precious than Rubies, her ways are of pleasantness and all her paths of peace”.
