Obituary of Russell Wayne Wallace

Russell Wayne Wallace, age 73, of Detroit, passed away, Wednesday, January 16, 2013, in Detroit. Mr. Wallace was born April 19, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois, to Wayne and Rosalyn Bennett Wallace. He served in the U.S. Navy, was an avid model train collector and loved watching NASCAR on Sunday’s. Visitation will be Sunday, from 2 to 4 p.m., at Clarksville Funeral Home. Memorial services are set for 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 21, 2013, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Don Shovan officiating. Surviving Mr. Wallace is his wife of 38 years, Thelma Wallace of Detroit; 4 sons, Rusty Wallace and wife Gwen of Cumby, Dakota Wallace of Detroit, Russell Wallace, Jr. of Blue Springs, Mississippi and Richard Wallace of Blue Springs, Mississippi; 3 daughters, Dawn Foster of El Centre, California, Wendy Wallace of Blue Springs, Mississippi and Donna Hooghouse of Blue Springs, Mississippi; 1 sister, Dolly Jean Dauwalder of Yorkville, Illinois; 8 grandchildren; numerouse great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Russell’s name to the Heritage Bank, 12038 Hwy. 82 W., Detroit, Texas 75436.
