Obituary of Jessie Glen Crawford

Jessie Glen Crawford, age 71, of Clarksville, passed away, Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at his residence with his daughter, Renea by his side. Glen was born October 28, 1941, in Clarksville to Jessie and Iva Rushing Crawford. He served in the U.S. Army and was of the Baptist faith. Glen worked for many years and retired from Campbell Soup in 1996. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wanda Crawford; his daughter, Lura Celeste Crawford; 3 brothers and 1 sister. His happiest years were spent after he and his wife moved to his home near the Red River where he hunted and fished as much as he wanted to. Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 22, 2013, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Dwayne Crawford officiating. Survivors include 2 daughters, Trudy Hatchett of Artesia, New Mexico, Renea Lopez of Carlsbad, New Mexico and 1 sister, Lottie Smith of Bagwell; 2 brothers, Roy Crawford of Blossom and Clarence Crawford of Paris; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and very special friends and caregivers; Kathie and Chris Smith of Kanawha.
