Obituary of Ben Ray Storey

Red River County Precinct 3 Commissioner Ben Ray Storey, age 58, of the English Community, passed away July 25, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Storey was born August 28, 1954, in Red River County to Ben B. and Doris Troxell Storey and retired after 33 years from the Red River Army Depot. Ben Ray was preceded in death by his father and his sister Donna Harp. Ben Ray was an avid outdoorsman that loved to hunt and fish with his family and friends. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Cloyd officiating. Burial will follow at English Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8 at Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Mike Green, Doug Russell, Valton Chandler, David Day, Kyle Taylor, Wayne Johnson and Lane McKinney. Honorary Pallbearers are Bill Minter, David Phelps and Mike Phelps. Survivors include his wife, Paula Storey of the English Community; his mother Doris Storey of Paris; two daughters Staci Moore and husband John of English and Lindsey McEwin and husband Devin of English; one brother-in-law, Ronnie Harp; one sister, Nancy Hendley and husband Robert of English and one brother Byron Storey and wife Janet of Moore Haven FL; and his grandchildren, Jaci, Judd and Johnna Moore and Storey McEwin.
