Obituary of Bernice Dillard

Bernice Dillard, age 80, of Clarksville, passed away Friday, August 9, 2013, at Clarksville Nursing Center. Bernice was born February 12, 1933 in Woodland to Lee and Merle Terry Simpson. She was a wonderful cook and loved by all. To know her was to love her. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Virgil “Dink” Dillard and three brothers, George Simpson, Ballard Simpson and Gerald Simpson. Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2013, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in New Haven Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include her son, Sterling “Steve” Miller, Jr. and wife Kay of Paris; 2 daughters, Mary Martin of Plano and Donna Sue Miller of Clarksville; one step-daughter Judy Dillard Boggs; one sister, Doris Skinner of Elkhart, Indiana; one brother, Bill Simpson and a host of blended grandchildren, nieces, nephews and Godchildren.
