Obituary of Margaret Hooser

Margaret E. Hooser, age 94, of Clarksville, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, August 26, 2013, in Clarksville. Mrs. Hooser was born February 28, 1919, in Clarksville to Rev. Jessie B. and Florence Parker Watson. She was a longtime member of the Aikin Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she loved her church family. She married Rev. Melvin Hooser on February 18, 1939, in Clarksville. Mrs. Hooser was preceded in death by her husband; a grandson Wade Brown; 1 sister; and 2 brothers. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2013, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow Whiteman’s Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour before service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers are G.A. Hines, Teddy Smothermon, M.A. Duren, Boyce Tull, Scotty Humphrey and Sid Ingram. Honorary Pallbearers are the men of the Aikin Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Brown and husband Bobby of Clarksville; 2 sisters, Yvonne McNabb of Blossom and Mildred Brantley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 1 granddaughter, Tony Rivera and husband Albert; 2 great-grandchildren, Jessica Brunson and husband Colby and Alex Gaines; and 1 great-great grandchild, Madelyn Brunson
