Obituary of Jim Childres

James Childres, age 90, of The Lone Star Community, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013, at Regency Nursing Center. Mr. Childres was born August 15, 1923, in Clarksville to John and Sally Childres. He was a member of the Lone Star Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Rena Cockrell Childres of the home; his son, John Childres and wife Linda of the Lone Star Community; his daughter, Jimmie Mae Williford of Dallas; his sister, Inez Johnson of Bogata; his brother, Carl Childres of the Lone Star Community; 9 grandchidren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 19, 2013, at the Lone Star Methodist Church with Rev. Don Benton and Rev. Don Shovan officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Star Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive an hour before service time at the church.
