Obituary of Mary Lavurn Edwards

Mary Lavurn Edwards, age 81, of the Woodland Community, passed away, Friday, November 01, 2013, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Edwards was born November 23, 1931, in Hollis, Oklahoma to Ernest Lee and Liza Mae Turner Coble. She was a very active member of the Leesville Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting with the ladies at the Woodland Quilting Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lunsford Edwards; a son, Robert Trent Edwards; and grandson, Roger Dale Edwards; and a great-grandson, Joshua Hamm. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 4, 2013, at the Leesville Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5 at Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Jim Gatlin, Boyd Harmening, Tony Whittle, Cody Flanery, Joe Smith and Calvin Gibson. Survivors include her sons, Johnny Edwards and wife Beverly of Detroit, Orville Edwards and wife Penny of Paris, Roger Edwards and wife Ginger of Woodland, Kelvin Edwards and wife Tammy of Frogville, Oklahoma and Lyle Edwards and wife Dianna of Paris. Nanny was blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
