Obituary of Warren G. Spencer

Warren G. Spencer, age 72, of Avery, passed away, April 13, 2010, at Wadley Regional Medical Center. Mr. Spencer was born April 20, 1937, in Springfield, Massachusetts to Kenneth and Ruth Fisher Spencer. He married Edie Gilchrist on November 29, 1969. He loved fishing and served in the U.S. Army. Surviving Mr. Spencer are his wife, Edie Spencer of Avery; his sons, Warren Spencer and wife Sherry of Maine, Roland Spencer of New Hampshire and Randy Spencer and wife Melanie of Talco; his daughters, Maria Fanning and husband Steve of Mt. Pleasant, Robin Olds and husband James of the Oak Grove Community and Karen Dean of New Boston; his sister, Barbara Fluette and husband Bernard of New Hampshire; his brothers, Wayne Spencer and wife Mary of Minnesota, Neal Spencer and wife Joan of New Hampshire, grandchildren; Danielle, James, Jr., Stephanie, Zachary, Mathew, Nathen, Garrett, Kaila, Seth, Amity, Ryan, Jacob, Ty, Lyn, Brody, Brandon, Troy, Mallory, Christopher and Kyle; great grandchildren, Paycas and Landon. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Rickey Hunt officiating. Graveside services and burial are 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Edwards Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 to 8 at Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Gerald Missildine, Mark Nicks, Joey Tatom, Shea Osborne, Shane Pace and Jason Lambert. Honorary Pallbearers are Jerald Loftin, Henry Freeman and Adam Pearson.
