Obituary of Sonya Freeman

Sonya Deann Freeman, age 33, of Avery, passed away, Monday, December 02, 2013, at U.T. Southwestern Hospital in Dallas. Sonya was born July 4, 1980, in Idabel, Oklahoma, to Bryan and Jerry Barnett Roseberry. She married Brian Freeman on September 15, 2001. Sonya was a licensed Cosmetologist and Hair Stylist for 13½ years and served as manager of Smart Style in New Boston for 8 years. She was a member of the Avery Volunteer Fire Department and a First Responder Coordinator. She was a loving and caring person that always put others first and looked forward to her family vacation’s. Sonya always had a smile and was a friend to all. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marla Christophersen; her grandparents, Jack Barnett and Martha Barnett; her grandparents, Kelly and Joyce Roseberry. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 5, 2013, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Cooper and Rev. H.D. Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Savannah Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Kendall Peek, John Noe, Johnny Phelps, Dean McPeak, Bruce Duncan and Raymond Miester. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8, Wednesday night at Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband, Brian Freeman of Avery; daughter, Rhalynn Freeman of Avery; her mother Jerry and step-father Gerald Rust of Avery and father, Bryan and step-mother, Gina Roseberry of New Boston; grandmother, Bess Anderson of Clarksville; brothers, Chad Roseberry and wife Andrea of Boxelder, Wesley Roseberry and wife Vickie of New Boston, Kelly Roseberry and wife Brittany of Avery and David and Sondra Rust of Avery; sister-in-law, Jessi Sharp of DeKalb and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Savannah Cemetery, C/O Savannah Cemetery, 2935 911 S. Avery, TX. 75554.
