Obituary of Mary Johnson

Mary Johnson age 78 of Avery passed away Monday, August 31, 2009 at Clarksville Nursing Center. Mrs. Johnson was born on September 20, 1930 in Bowie County Texas to Jim and Ida Ramsey Hornbuckle. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Milton Johnson. Survivors include two sons; Ronnie Merchant and wife Barbara of Bogata, and Richard Johnson of DeKalb, three daughters; Rosemary Holder of Daingerfield, Darlena Shimpock and husband Tim of Annona, Carolyn Gibson and husband Rickey of Avery, 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Louis Smith officiating. Burial will follow in English Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Memorial may be made to the Serenity Hospice at 5604 Summerhill Road Ste. 3, Texarkana, TX 75503.
