Obituary of Ana Bel Bartley
Ana Bel Clack Bartley, age 88, of Clarksville, passed away, Monday, December 16, 2013, at her residence. Ana Bel owned and operated Ana Bel’s Beauty Shop in Clarksville for over 52 years. In 2007, she received the Business Woman of the year award by the Red River County Chamber of Commerce. She was also a well-known artist and loved painting blue bonnets and old barns. Ana Bel was a member of the Church of Christ and was very active in her church. She always was helping other people and will be truly missed by her friends, family and all that knew her. Ana Bel was born January 15, 1925, in Detroit to Ben F. and Elizabeth Bell Lamb Clack. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew J. Bartley on March 26, 2000; her sister’s, Jo Young and Bennie Bee Plant; and her brothers, John Ivan Clack and Billy Clack.
Survivors include her son, Dr. Dan Bartley and friend Linda Tackett of Detroit; her daughter, Gayla Griffin and husband Dennis of Limdurg; and her grandsons, Zach Bartley of Paris and Garrett Griffin of Longview.
Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 19, 2013, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Welton Stoker officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Larry Rushing, Dale Parker, J.P. Harvey, Ray Helton, Pedro Resendiz and Terry Tyndell.
