Obituary of Barbara Jean Smith

Barbara Jean Baird Smith, age 73, of Boxelder, passed away, Monday, March 10, 2014, at her residence. Barbara was born March 23, 1940, in Boxelder to Leon and Gladys Tolison Baird. She was an avid reader, a friend to all and her home was always open to everyone. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy H. Smith; a brother, G. L. Baird and two infant children. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 13, 2014, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral home with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Boxelder Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. There will be no formal visitation. The family will be at their home place, the home of the late Leon and Gladys Baird in Boxelder. Pallbearers are Jesse Luke, Rowdy Peacock, Seth Peacock, Keith Minter and Nick Baird. Survivors include a son, Jade Lee Smith of Boxelder; a daughter, Tanya Peacock and husband, Randy of Boxelder; a sister, Brenda Luke and husband, Jesse of Burnett; a brother, Leon Baird, Jr. and wife Casina of Boxelder; three grandchildren, Keith Minter and wife, Lacey, Rowdy Peacock and Seth Peacock.
