Obituary of Melvin R Blair

Melvin Blair, age 59, of Clarksville, passed away, March 26, 2014, at East Texas Medical Center, Clarksville. Melvin was born August 23, 1954, in Clarksville to Wesley Geraldine and Mary Virginia Fogleman Blair. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved being with his family and friends. Melvin was a member of the First Baptist Church of Annona. His parents preceded him in death. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 29, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Annona with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Boxelder Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 to 8 at Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Dean Wren, Chuck Booth, Wayne Whiteman, Marty Daniell, Jack McCoy and Warren Carter. Survivors include his daughter, Belinda Zachry and husband, Chris of Swink, Oklahoma; his sister, Gail Minter and husband, Bill of Clarksville; his brother, Gerry Blair and wife Kay of Carthage; and his grandchildren, Morgan, Micah and Logan.
