Obituary of Clifford D. Baxley

Clifford Dean Baxley, age 78, of Bagwell, passed away Wednesday, April 02, 2014, at Clarksville Nursing Center. Mr. Baxley was born June 11, 1935, in Enloe to Herbert and Ruby Lee Pilkington Baxley. He was a retired welder, served in the National Guard and of the Baptist faith. His brother, Gearld Baxley and his sister, Helen Suggs preceded him in death. Mr. Baxley married Evonna Chambles on June 29, 1952, in Greenville. Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 5, 2014, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Tommy Horn officiating. Burial will follow in Stones Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour before service time at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Evonna Baxley of Bagwell; three daughters, Cheryl Jones and husband Billy of Clarksville, Judith Vaughn and husband, Ronnie of Daingerfield and Sandra Williams and husband, Michael of Thornton, 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
