Obituary of Cynthia Ann Baird

Cynthia Ann Baird, age 76, of Boxelder, passed away June 23, 2014, at her residence. Mrs. Baird was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Baird was born October 27, 1937, in Robertson County, Texas to Dr. Sam Corley and Constance Lela Allston Latimer. She received her Bachelor’s in Education from East Texas State University in Texarkana and retired after 21 years of teaching with Clarksville Independent School District. Mrs. Baird along with her husband, A.B. “Scooter” Baird enjoyed raising Charolais Cattle. They were partners with Baird Brothers Charolais. She was preceded in death by her husband and was a member of the Boxelder United Methodist Church. Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2014, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Don “Dink” Benton officiating. Burial will follow in Boxelder Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Michael Baird, Tony Whittle, Ernie Hays, Eddie Hausler, Daniel Deane and Tim Shimpock. Honorary Pallbearers are Hays Allston, Glen Floyd, Leon Blake, Billy Carson, Paul Coleman and Bob Maroney. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include two sons, Brody Baird and wife, April of Avery and Alvin Brent Baird and wife, D’Andra of Boxelder; one daughter, Christy Deane and husband, David of Little Rock, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Daniel Deane, Chloe Deane, Briley Baird, Brianna Baird, Braden Baird, Courtney Davidson, Logan Baird and Katie Baird; one great-grandchild, Alivia Davidson; and a special cousin, Jo Nell Allston.
