Obituary of Henry J. Hooser
Henry J. Hooser, age 83, of Clarksville, passed away, Monday, July 14, 2014, at ETMC Tyler. Mr. Hooser was born, February 13, 1931, in Red River County, the son of Jay C. and Hazel Elizabeth Jackson Hooser. He married Mary Jo Storey on May 14, 1950, in Clarksville. Henry retired after 29 years of employment from the Red River County Water Supply Company. He also was a member of the Aikin Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Henry Enjoyed going to his farm and loved his family.
Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2014, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Les Tinsley, Mike McGuire, Mark Stringer, Bruce Jeager, Terry Stringer, Brooks Varley, Bobby Brown and M.A. Duren.
Honorary Pallbearers are the men of the Aikin Grove Church, Johnny Ragsdill and Clinton Evetts.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Hosser of Clarksville; three daughters, Beverly Jaeger and husband, Bruce of St. Louis, Missouri, Janet Stringer and husband, Mark of Clarksville and June Stringer and husband, Terry of Clarksville; three grandchildren, Terra Compton, Holly Varley and husband, Brooks and Jessica Stringer; two great-grandchildren, Hunter Compton and Chloe Varley; and a special dog, Miss Priss.
