Obituary of Butch Draper

Butch Draper, age 68, of Clarksville, passed away, Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at ETMC Tyler. Butch was born May 29, 1946, in Clarksville, to John Herman and Mary Madeline Greer Draper. He was a devoted husband and a loving father. Butch loved ranching and traveled the Rodeo Circuit as a Judge for many years. He was a friend to all. Butch was a member of the “RR” Cowboy Church and enjoyed being with his church family. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Cain and Sarah Woods. Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 22, 2014, at the “RR” Cowboy Church with Tracy Williams, Randy Bird and Chad Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Tuggle Springs Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Doug Whitten, Nick Baird, Greg Jackson, Billy Mitchell, Bo Cain, Mike Pascoe, Johnny Hudson and Lance LaJurne. Honorary Pallbearers are Kenny Lewis, Bill Barton and Billy Sam Allen. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Mitchell Draper of Clarksville; his son, Jim Draper of Chandler; his daughter, Cresha Foster and husband, Rex of Chandler; and his grandchildren, Chip Foster, Draper Foster, Reiney Draper, Josie Draper and Holton Draper.
