Obituary of Frances Allen

Frances Allen, age 92, of Texarkana, formerly of Red River County, passed away October 7, 2014, at Wadley Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Allen was born, July 31, 1922, in the Dimple Community of Red River County to Clifford and Pline Ellen Huddleston Rosson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “Tom” Allen; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters. Survivors include 2 daughters, Linda Cardwell and husband, Cliff of Rockwall and Lou Walton and husband, Jack of Texakana; 4 grandchildren, Scott Ewer, Jason Cardwell and wife, Cassie, Kim Burks and husband, James and Tammy Clifton and husband, Daryl; 3 great-grandchildren, Jordyn Cardwell, Garrett Burks and Preston Burks; 2 sisters-in-law, Nell Allen Mayo of Mississippi and Eleanor Rosson Garland; and 1 brother, Don Rosson of California; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services are set for 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 10, 2014, in Madras Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
