Obituary of Geneva Langston
Flora Geneva Langston, 82, of Clarksville, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, at Regency Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Geneva was born March 24, 1932, in Detroit, Texas, a daughter of John Spears and Elsie Ann Welch Spears. She worked at Duke & Ayres and was a telephone operator. Geneva and her family owned and operated convenience stores in Clarksville for a time. She later worked in the food service industry. She retired from Clarksville Independent School District as a cafeteria worker. She was an accomplished cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. Geneva was a member of the Baptist Church.
Graveside memorial services are set for 3:00 P.M., Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Fairview Cemetery. With Rev. James Brown officiating.
Survivors include daughters, Sherrie Langston Hardin of San Antonio and Gina Garrison of Clarksville; sons, Rickie Langston of Tacoma, Wash., and Clay Langston and wife, Stephany, of Auburn, Wash.; four grandchildren, Nathan Daniell of Idabel, Okla., Eric Daniell of Reno, Eric Rodin of Auburn, Wash., and Norah Kate Langston of Auburn, Wash., and four great-grandchildren, Aspyn Daniell of Idabel, Okla., Eli Daniell of Detroit, Jace Faulkner of Reno and Fallon Daniell of Reno, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Mathis, and her parents.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
