Obituary of Michael Ray Porterfield

Michael “Mickey” Porterfield, age 68, of Paris, passed away, Monday, January 12, 2015. He was the owner of Mickey’s Flowers in Clarksville and his floral talents were requested state wide. Mickey gave of his time and talents to make every civic event a special occasion. He loved Christmas time and enjoyed going to everyone’s house to decorate. He will be missed. Mickey was born July 31, 1946, in Red River County to Harold Raymond and Hazel Beatrice Bean Porterfield. Mickey was a member of the First Baptist Church and loved his friends and family. His Parents preceded him in death. Graveside services are set for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 15, 2015, at Fairview Cemetery with Rev James Brown officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include his sister, Linda Pool and husband Bryant of Fresno and his niece, Kimberly Kunz of Dallas.
