Obituary of James Glen Mitchell

James “Glen” Mitchell, age 73, of Clarksville, passed away peacefully at home from his earthly pain at 5:00 a.m., on January 19, 2015. He was born February 11, 1941, in Clarksville to James Durwood and Josephine Mowery Mitchell. Glen was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Gregory Mitchell. Memorial services are set for 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 26, 2015, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiating. Services are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Those remaining behind to cherish the wonderful memories include his wife of 49 years, Sherron Mitchell of Clarksville; daughters, Cheryl Pearse and husband, Gary of Rose Bud, Arkansas and Donna Talburt and husband, Randy of Batesville, Arkansas; sister, Pam Neal and husband Loyd of Slaton; brother, Tim Mitchell and wife, Sherry of Lubbock; grandchildren, Stase Cannon and wife, Liz of Quitman, Arkansas, Samantha Hilton and husband, Michael of Vilonia, Arkansas, Elizabeth Booker and husband, Nicholas of Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota, Lisa Maya and husband, Alex of Batesville, Arkansas, Clrissia Carlile and friend, Clay Ferrell of Brownsville; special little friend and faithful companion, Maggie; 16 great grandchildren; and cousins, Billy Mitchell, Sarah Darden, Evelyn Draper, Diane Pool and husband, Gene, Becky Wolfington and husband, Al all of Clarksville. Glen was a retired mechanic and an avid sportsman. His passions included, deer, quail and turkey hunting. You could find Glen almost every weekend on nearby lakes fishing.
