Obituary of Pauline Lipe Lemmond

Pauline Lipe Lemmond, age 102, formerly of Avery, passed away, Thursday, January 22, 2015, at Brentwood Terrace Health Care Center. Mrs. Lemmond was born, December 15, 1912, in Synder to Delbert and Maud Kniffin Lipe. She received her Masters of Education and taught school for 32 years. Mrs. Lemmond was a member of the Avery United Methodist Church. Her husband, Guy Lemmond; brother, Gordon Lipe; and sister, Lorene Buttram preceded her in death. Private burial will be Saturday, January 24, 2015, in Avery Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include 2 sons, Guy Lemmond, Jr. of Paris and Byron Lemmond of Katy; 1 daughter, Mary Gilman of Covina, California; 1 sister, Geneva Walker of Salem, North Carolina; and 1 brother, Ray Lipe of DeKalb. Mrs. Lemmond told her son; Don’t think of me as passed on, think of me as going on another trip. Memorials may be made to the Avery United Methodist Church; 309 W. Alabama St., Avery, Texas 75554.
