Hey brother It was a privilege to be your gunner but more important, your friend. I wish the best to the Holt family. He was a great man and would do anything for others. The day before the accident he said "You guys are the reason why I stay in the Army" I will never forget what you said that day SSG Holt. Maybe one day i'll see you again. We miss you

To the family of justin lee holt: my name is katy nickerson, my family and i lived in pittsburg, texas for a long long time and we moved away to nashville years ago. but i went all through school with justin up until high school right before my family and i moved to nashville. i woulda graduated with class of 2002 justin was in with me but i moved to nashville where my dad got job before i could graduate so i graduated my senior year at brentwood high school where my dad got new job in nashville. but going through school in pittsburg with justin, what a great kid! always so so sweet to all his classmates in high school class of 2002. i remember him at times as being kinda quiet, and shy but at all other times very personable, loved being around his classmates cutting up outside of class, being with his classmates in high school in pittsburg class of 2002, inside the classroom walls. one memory of him i still vividly have and this justins family i hope this will make you laugh, one memory i still vividly have of justin was sitting in high school classes in pittsburg, before class ever started when he and others of us in class got bored we would hide those short little pencils behind our ears and when we got bored before class started we would chunk those tiny short pencils at each other. justin thought it was funny and i did it and so did others in our classes. we all just thought it was funny. i as one of justins pittsburg high school classmates, i just always thought the world of him, he was such a good kid, sweet, kinda quiet at times but the rest of the time, talkative, fun to be around in class and outside of class cutting up with. justin kicking it with him. my heart is shattered and broken and torn to pieces over my classmates passing, I'm gonna miss justin millions. but i always have him in my heart 2. i sent some flowers from me, which I'm at 2nd college in birmingham, alabama but my family lives in nashville. i had my mom send some flowers to you guys justins family to the funeral, i hope they got there in time and i also put my name on the pittsburg class of 2002 flower that we sent from our class to funeral. so the flower my mom sent and our class sent, both have my name on em and i hope the flowers brighten yalls sadness, comfort you in every possible way and bring you peace. thank you justin for going away to army to give so much of yourself and your heart and your time serving this great awesome country the USA. THANKS FOR PUTTING YOUR ALL ON THE LINE FOR US EACH AND EVERY DAY AND GOING TO WAR TO TAKE OUT THE TRASH AKA THE BAD GUYS TO KEEP ALL OF US IN AMERICA FREE AND SAFE. THANKS FOR KEEPING YOUR OLD PITTSBURGH CLASSMATE SAFE HERE IN AMERICA EVERYDAY 2. there will never be another justin holt, i miss you pittsburg, texas old high school classmate of 2002. rest in peace, katy nickerson
